Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall, Diego Luna Charley Waite, Boss Spearman, 'Button', and Mose Harrison are trying to escape their pasts and drive their herd to the open range, where the laws of nature dictate and a man can only feel truly free. These cowboys, bound together by the laws of the wild west and loyalty, strive to live, uphold true values, and avoid violence as much as possible. However, their lives are changed when they encounter a lawless frontier town ruled by tyranny and fear, forcing them to return to their days of action. Amidst all this chaos, an unexpected turn occurs in Charley's lonely life when he meets Sue Barlow, a courageous woman who deeply touches his heart and soul. As these brave men engage in a battle against the town's bullies, they also find themselves resisting the demons within.
